Rosemarie Ann Turner, 92, Jefferson City passed away Friday, June 14, 2024. 

She was born July 2, 1931, to the late Edwin and Isabella (Lock) Haslag in Loose Creek.

She was a 1949 graduate of Loose Creek High School and later graduated from Depaul Hospital School of nursing in 1956 as a registered nurse.

Rosemarie was united in marriage to Ronald Oscar Turner Dec. 13, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was employed at St. Mary’s Health Center from September 1956 until her retirement in June of 1999. In 1963, Rosemarie became the first lay supervisor and began her career as a registered nurse. She would eventually serve as Director of Nursing and Director of Customer Services.

Rosemarie was also a member and was at one time in charge of the St. Mary’s Auxillary.

To many she was a “social butterfly”, who enjoyed vacationing, shopping and gardening. Most of all, Rosemarie enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her family.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ronald; and parents, Edwin and Isabella.

Rosemarie is survived by son, J. Douglas Turner and wife Sheila; daughter, Molly Jo Haslag and husband Keith; grandchildren, Shelby Kliethermes and husband Kody, J. Dalton Turner Woodrum and husband Mitchell and Matthew and Tyler Haslag; and great-grandchildren, Hank William and Patsy Rosemarie Kliethermes. 

Memorial contributions suggested to the St. Mary’s Auxillary.

A private service will be held by the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family at a later date.
