WESTPHALIA  — Lincoln Day will be held on Thursday at the Westphalia Lions Den with Missouri Sen. William C. (Bill) Eigel set to deliver the keynote address on paper ballots.

Eigel was sworn into office on Jan 4, 2017, to serve the residents of Missouri‘s 23rd district in St. Charles County.

A US Air Force veteran of eight years, Eigel has owned a small business in St. Charles County for more than 10 years.

Eigel, who held the rank of Captain while serving in the Air Force, completed assignments in Louisiana, Arizona, and most recently, at Whiteman Air Force Base. He is a decorated veteran for service overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, with commendations for his service in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

After leaving the Air Force in 2006, Sen. Eigel purchased St. Louis Skylights, a small residential and commercial remodeling company. Despite the challenges of the economic recession in 2008 and 2009, St. Louis Skylights was renamed to National Skylight Solutions in 2010 as it grew to service all areas of the United States. With permanent locations in Missouri and Illinois, and serving customers in all 50 states, National Skylight Solutions (and affiliates) is one of the fastest growing skylight installation companies in the country.

Eigel is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the National Rifle Association, and is a volunteer for the Missouri Veteran’s Retirement Home in North St. Louis County.

He lives in Weldon Spring with his wife, Amanda, and their two children. They are all members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish in Cottleville.

Also scheduled to speak are US Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, Missouri Sen. Ben Brown, and Missouri Rep. Bill Hardwick, along with local elected officials.

Representing the 13 counties that make up the 3rd Congressional District of Missouri since 2009, Luetkemeyer is a native of St. Elizabeth, where his family has lived for four generations.

He will speak about Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and digital currency.

Along with his strong agriculture background, Blaine is a small businessman, having been in the banking and insurance industry for over 30 years. He also served as a bank regulator for the state of Missouri earlier in his career.

From 1999 to 2005, Luetkemeyer was elected to the Missouri State House of Representatives. During his time in the legislature, he served as chairman of the Financial Services Committee and was elected House Republican Caucus Chairman. After leaving office, he was appointed by Gov. Matt Blunt to serve as the Director of the Missouri Division of Tourism.

Luetkemeyer is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eldon Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Farm Bureau, National Rifle Association, and a lifelong member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He is a graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, where he earned a degree with distinction in political science and a minor in business administration.

Blaine and his wife, Jackie, have three children and seven grandchildren.

Sen. Brown, elected in 2022 to represent Franklin, Gasconade, Osage and Warren counties and the city of Eureka within St. Louis County, will give his views on defending freedom in a post-COVID world.

Brown attended Lafayette High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia before pursuing a professional career in mixed martial arts. He has served as chair of Franklin County Central Committee as well as Missouri’s National Committeeman for the Federation of Young Republicans. He has been honored with community awards from the Chesterfield Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Progress 64 West Alliance. Brown owns and operates Satchmo’s Bar and Grill in Chesterfield.

He and his wife, Danielle, are the proud parents of three children, Layla, Summer and Jayden. The Brown family resides in Washington.

Rep. Hardwick will address communist purchases of Missouri land. He was elected to his first two-year term in the Missouri House of Representatives (District 121) in 2020, and represents part of Pulaski County and Fort Leonard Wood.

Prior to serving in the Missouri Legislature, Hardwick was a supervisory attorney as a civilian with the Department of the Army, a Special Assistant United States Attorney and served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Pulaski County. He was the city prosecutor for St. Robert, and taught courses as an adjunct professor in political science, business, philosophy, and law. Hardwick also litigated cases in the private sector as an attorney in private practice.

Rep. Hardwick served as an enlisted soldier and officer in the Missouri National Guard and U.S. Army. He led combat patrols in Baghdad, Iraq, and served as an engineer platoon leader and company commander. He graduated with honors from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., where he earned a skill identifier as a strategist. He continues to serve in the Missouri Army National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel.

A graduate of Dixon High School, Hardwick earned his bachelor’s degree in Classics from the University of Missouri and Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia. He and his wife, Teresa, reside in Waynesville.
