LINN — Sheriff Mike Bonham is investigating an armed robbery and assault that took place at about 3 a.m. on May 20 at the Northern View apartments near Dave’s Pizza & Wings in Linn.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, three suspects — two black males and one Hispanic male — were driving a large black SUV, either a GMC Yukon or a Cadillac Escalade.
Bonham said the two black males produced handguns, pistol-whipped the victim, and put a gun to his head. The Hispanic male punched the victim in the head multiple times.
“They took his money, car keys, apartment key, and broke his necklaces off his neck,” said Bonham, adding the victim said he did not know the suspects and had never seen them before.
The suspect vehicle left, traveling eastbound on Hwy. 50.
“We are attempting to get more video footage,” said Bonham. “We believe this to be an isolated incident, and there is no evidence that this is a continued threat.”
