CHAMOIS — Osage County Sheriff’s Mike Bonham said his office is investigating two break-ins that occurred last weekend involving a local business and church in Chamois. Deputies were called to Jerry’s Stop & Go early Saturday morning for a report of a break-in. Thieves had broken the front glass to gain entrance to the business. Several items were taken, including a small amount of cash.
A second call for a break-in came in on Sunday morning at the United Methodist Church in Chamois.
Deputies found that two basement windows had been broken. The perpetrator(s) went through several cabinets, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Anyone with information on the break-ins is encouraged to contact Sgt. Ricky Jarvis at 573-897-3927.
