With the disbandment of the Show-Me Conference, Linn and Chamois will find themselves in new conferences while Fatima will play an independent schedule for the foreseeable future.
As of July 1, Chamois and the rest of the former small Show-Me Conference schools merged with the Cooper County Athletic Association (CCAA) to form the Show-Me Central.
Along with Chamois, former Show-Me Conference members Tuscumbia and St. Elizabeth will represent Osage and Miller County in the new conference.
Leaving the Gasconade Valley Conference, Vienna High School will also join the Show-Me Central representing Maries County.
CCAA schools joining the Show-Me Central include Jamestown, Calvary Lutheran, Bunceton and Prairie Home.
This fall, Vienna City Park will host the inaugural Show-Me Central Cross Country meet while Russellville High School will host the first ever Show-Me Central Conference track meet next spring.
Linn High School will be joining the Central State 8 (CS8) along with fellow former Show-Me Conference schools New Bloomfield, Eugene, Russellville and South Callaway.
Making up the rest of the newly formed CS8 will include Tipton from the Kaysinger Conference in addition to Fayette and Harrisburg out of the Lewis and Clark Conference.
