The weekend saw several inches of snowfall covered the county. This was the first major snowfall of the year.
Snowman popped up over the weekend in Belle after Belle Mayor Josh Seaver challenged residents to a snowman building contest. “It went very well,” Seaver said. “The winning entry was a dragon built by some very creative high-school kids.” Mayor Seaver said the other entries all received a small consolation prize. “Hopefully, we get more snow this winter and can do it again.”
