State Tech began its rescheduled Career Expo on Tuesday and the two-day event will wrap up today (Wednesday) at the Activity Center. Gov. Mike Kehoe addressed businesses to kick off the first session on Tuesday before students began visiting with prospective employers. Initially to be held last month, the expo was postponed due to inclement weather. More than 400 companies registered to showcase their offering to students looking for post-graduation employment. Gov. Kehoe said he was pleased to see the college’s impact on the workforce. He served on the State Tech Board of Regents several years ago, and praised Regents President John A. Klebba and college president, Dr. Shawn Strong, for their commitment to making State Tech “The Employers’ Choice.” A full story on the event will appear next week.
