Steve Laffoon, 61, Linn, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 19, 1959, to the late James LeRoy Laffoon and Reta (Baumgartner) Laffoon-Dennis in Jefferson City.
He was a graduate of Hazelwood Center High School in Florissant, Linn State Technical College, Lincoln University in Jefferson City and University of Missouri in Rolla. Steve was employed as a Civil Engineer for the Federal Highway Department.
He was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
Steve was preceded in death by father, James; sister, Donna Laffoon; and brother, Scott Laffoon.
He is survived by mother, Reta; brother, Sam Laffoon and wife Michelle of Linn; stepsister, Heather Irvin and husband Lance of Jefferson City; and a step-granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, July 12, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Colin Franklin officiating. Interment was in the Pointers Creek Cemetery
