Taste of Osage County to be held Saturday

Naturally Meramec, through Meramec Regional Planning Commission, will host the Taste of Osage County from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Linn City Park.

This event was originally an annual event that Osage County Agritourism Council held each June.

Presented in conjunction with the University of Missouri Extension in Osage County and Central Missouri Community Action (CMCA), Taste of Osage County will feature a wide array of local vendors.

“We think of it as a showcase of anything and everything that makes Osage County unique,” said MU Extension Specialist Elizabeth Anderson.

Mark Perkins, the developer leading Naturally Meramec, has been focused on improving agriculture tourism in the region and the organization has provided advertisement, design, and administrative support for the Taste of Osage County.

“Jenn Millard from CMCA and I have been teaming up with Mark to reinvigorate the event but she and I also wanted to expand it to cover not only agriculture, culinary, and tourism-based businesses, but also community organizations and non-profits.”

Naturally Meramec has been focusing on developing and supporting agritourism business throughout this region for a few years.

Vendors expected to be on hand include Rudy Lane Flower Farm, OC-ADCAT, Lavender Rhapsody, Bubble Empire, L & L Honey, Osage County Historical Society, Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Osage Chic Boutique, Red Barn Butchering, the Missouri Department of Conservation, 1905 Tavern, El Carnaval, Does Your Seat Need Work, Ainsley James Boutique, Osage County Health Department, Missouri River Regional Library, Red Thunder Farms, Osage County Inclusive Playground, White Mule Winery, and others.
