Terry Enloe Cooley, 79, Folk, passed away Aug. 17, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born June 28, 1942, to the late Ralph and Ethel (Fisher) Cooley in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage to Evelyn Scheppers April 20, 1963, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk.

Terry attended Jefferson City High School.

He worked many jobs over the years including as a roofer and a carpenter and retired from Great Central Lumber after 23 years.

Terry was happiest fishing on the Osage river with is son, Doug. He enjoyed cutting grass and spending time outdoors, but spending time with his family are the times he treasured the most. Terry will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Ethel; siblings, Ralph “Rick” Cooley and Sharon Kay Edgell; father and mother-in-law, Leo and Adelaide Scheppers; sisters-in-law, Alice Cooley and Sharon Cooley; and brother-in-law, Bob Edgell.

Terry is survived by wife of 58 years, Evelyn; sons, Dennis Cooley of Folk (now deceased) and Doug Cooley of Linn; sister, Reta Heckemeyer and husband A.J.; brother, Lonnie Cooley and wife Carol; granddaughters, Rachel Cooley of Holts Summit and Victoria Cooley of Kansas City.

A Memorial Mass was held Saturday, Aug. 26, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk with Fr. Anthony Viviano officiating.

Memorial contributions suggested to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or the Diabetes Foundation.
