Theodore “Ted” Bonnot, 80, Bonnots Mill, passed away peacefully Friday, June 20, 2025, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 2, 1944, to the late Theodore and Anna (Mantle) Bonnot in Bonnots Mill.
He was a 1962 graduate of Fatima High School and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Ted was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Rose Hoerschgen Dec. 9, 1967 in Peoria, Ill.
Ted and his wife, Pat, owned and operated Peppers Restaurant in Jefferson City and Krautmans Corner in Bonnots Mill.
He was of the Catholic faith and a member of American Legion Post #317 in Freeburg.
Ted enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, traveling, and in his retirement years, he enjoyed painting, playing cards and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by spouse of 41 years, Pat; parents, Theodore and Anna; brothers, Joel, Edward “Cap” and Jerry Bonnot; and sisters, Martha Dudenhoeffer and Gertrude Branson.
Ted is survived by sons, Kevin and Stacey Bonnot, both of Bonnots Mill and Thomas Bonnot and wife Julie of Ashland; daughters,Tina Bonnot and Jessica Voss and husband Brenton, all of Bonnots Mill; grandchildren, Pryce, Rowan and Aiden Bonnot, Emillie Bonnot, Chloe, Gage and Jade Voss and Tyler and Josh Kunkelman; brother, Donnie Bonnot and wife Donna of Linn; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, at Morton Chapel in Linn followed by the funeral service with Military Honors.
Memorial contributions suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
