Thomas Lee Kempker, 61, Jefferson City, went to meet the Lord with his loving wife by his side Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 24, 1959 to the late Herbert and Helen (Kliethermes) Kempker in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage to Doris Lauberth June 14, 1980 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg.

Tom was a 1977 graduate of Fatima High School. He was employed with Quaker Windows. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. He was a talented drummer and played with many local bands throughout mid-Missouri for many years. Tom enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time on the pontoon boat with Doris at Truman Lake and spent time swimming with their furry friends, Rip and Nermel.

Tom is preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Helen.

He is survived by wife of 40 years, Doris; sister, Connie Brandt and husband John of Loose Creek; brother, Bill Kempker and wife Peggy of Chamois; nieces and nephews who he loved spending time with, Susan Winkelman and husband Clarence, Stephanie Hoffman and husband Travis, Lindsey Holtmeyer and husband Brett, Johnny Brandt and husband Lacey, B.J. Kempker and wife Leisha and Heather Platt and husband J.P.; and numerous family and friends.

Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a prayer service Monday, Feb. 8, at Hilke-Millard Funeral Home in Linn.

Memorial contributions suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
