Melissa Love, 50, and Robert Miller, 43, of Linn, were arrested on Tuesday at their Hwy. 50 residence following a search by the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force and the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a press release from Sheriff Mike Bonham, officers saw a glass smoking pipe containing a white crystal in plain view on a table during the search.
While attempting to secure the residence during the execution of the search warrant, Love refused to comply with any verbal instructions. She became combative and scratched a deputy’s arm while the officer was attempting to secure handcuffs.
Love has prior convictions and is currently on bond for possession of a controlled substance. Love further fought with deputies and refused to comply with verbal and physical detainment for felony possession of a controlled substance.
After being advised of her rights, Love told deputies that she and Miller were meth users but did not sell the drug.
Miller is currently on bond for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon.
Both face a charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams of marijuana/synthetic narcotic. Bonham is also seeking a charge of resisting arrest on Love.
