Verlyn Ray Branson, 85, Union, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in Union.
He was born Feb. 21, 1936, to Robert and Flora (nee’ Tyree) in Linn.
He was united in marriage to Wanda
Lee (nee` Hiatt) Dec. 05, 1959, in St. John’s United Church of Christ in St. Clair.
Verlyn served his country in the U.S. Navy from August 1955 until he was honorably discharged in July 1958. He worked as a pipe fitter with Phillips Pipeline for 32 years until retiring and then worked for County Seat Motors in Union for 15 years. .
Verlyn was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Flora; wife, Wanda; and sister, Dixie Puckett. He was accompanied in death by son, John.
He is survived by daughter, Donna Lippert and husband Greg of Wentzville; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and sister Velda Party of Linn.
The funeral service was Friday, April 16, at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Union with full military honors.
