Wanda J. Bunch, 82, Linn, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City.
She was born July 6, 1942, to the late William and Mildred (Benson) Waggoner in Rocheport.
She attended grade school in Bonnots Mill and was a 1960 graduate of Fatima High School.
Wanda was employed as Osage County Deputy Clerk from 1971 to 1986. She was then elected Osage County Clerk in 1987 and retired in 2006. She also waited tables at several restaurants in Bonnots Mill and Linn on the weekends.
Wanda was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
She enjoyed attending the ballgames of her granddaughters, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Wanda was preceded in death by parents, William and Mildred; sisters, Arlene Raithel and Wilma “Billie” Mantle; brothers, her twin, William “Butch” and Willard “Corky” Waggoner; and half-brother, Harlin Flippin.
She is survived by son, Joe Bunch and wife Margie of Bonnots Mill; granddaughters, Ashley Wickman and husband Chad of Lee’s Summit, Joey Lauts and husband Jeremiah of Valley Falls, Kan., and Sammey Bunch and friend, Trevor Mull of St. Joseph; great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Rosalee Wickman and Remington and Wesson Lauts; sister, Carol Branson and husband Vernon of Linn; sisters-in-law, Elaine Waggoner Presley of Jefferson City and Darlene Nilges of Loose Creek; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn followed by a Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Colin Franklin officiating. Inurnment will be held in Verdot Cemetery in Bonnots Mill.
Memorial contributions suggested to Gentiva Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
