Wayne Alan Wilson, 67, Russellville, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025.
He was born Jan. 22, 1958, to the late Louis Woodrow Wilson and Irene Alice Daves.
He graduated from Linn High School in 1976.
Wayne was united in marriage to loving wife, Patricia Diane Wilson.
He spent much of his working life as a corrections officer for the state of Missouri at JCCC until he retired in 2010.
Wayne was known for his love of fishing and the outdoors where he also enjoyed hunting, preferably deer. He also enjoyed being a jokester and poking fun at the people around him, and would enjoy telling the stories of his life and what happened in and around work to his family and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by wife, Patricia; parents, Louis and Irene; and brothers, Ronnie, Donnie and James Wilson.
He is survived by son, Robert Sayers Jr. and wife Linda; daughter, Angelia Beanland; brother, Robert Wilson and wife Paula; sister, Mildred Simon; grandchildren, Tyler Strauch and wife Chelsea, Brooklynn Payne and husband Ben, James Strauch and friend Stephanie Gier, Victoria Sayers, Travis Kempker, Brittany Anglin and husband Tory, Danielle Sayers, Ryan Sayers and friend Amber Staggs, Zachary Beanland and friend Rachel Hunziker, Emily Goldammer, Jordan Sayers and friend Brevyn Hiller and Kent Sayers; great-grandchildren, Marley, Maggie, Lorelai, Melody, Austyn, Dean, Zayn, Jameson, Gage, Ivy Rose, Peyton, Helen, Nialani and Henry; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions suggested to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and Enon Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 12 until 2 p.m., Saturday, April 26, followed by funeral services at Enon Baptist Church in Russellville with Pastor Aaron Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Enloe Cemetery in Russellville.
