Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, Gov. Kehoe will take his oath of office on the steps of the Missouri State Capitol. The swearing in ceremony also includes our new statewide office holders, Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger, Secretary of State Denny Hoskins, State Treasurer Vivek Malek, and Attorney General Andrew Bailey. The alignment of these stars will happen only once. It is an historic moment in Missouri history.
You may have anticipated this moment. You might have even helped to shape this political outcome. If either of those statements is true, I would guess you have already made plans to attend the ceremonies on this coming Monday. The inauguration, receptions, grand march, and gubernatorial ball will not be soon forgotten by all who attend.
If you have never attended inauguration ceremonies in our state Capitol, maybe you should. These activities are the pinnacle of political credits belonging only to the men in the arena. These are the men that know great enthusiasm, the great devotion, and who have spent themselves for a worthy cause. And on this coming Monday we will celebrate the triumph of their high achievement.
The invitation to the inauguration is not reserved for a special few. This is a celebration to be enjoyed by all of Missouri. You don’t need a special letter to attend, and you don’t need a tuxedo. Participate in the day for its historic value. Enjoy the pomp and circumstance.
Would you like to attend? Contact me, there is still time to make arrangements, and I would be happy to help. Together we can welcome the 58th Governor of Missouri, Mike Kehoe. He earned it.
Please email me with any questions or concerns @ bruce.sassmann@house.mo.gov or call Jill Ryala at 573-751-6668. I look forward to hearing from you.
