William R. Steward, Jr. “Stretch”, 56, Freeburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born Nov. 26, 1965, in Kansas City, to the late William R. Steward, Sr. and Anna Marie (Johnson) Steward,who survives of Dixon.
He was a 1983 graduate of Dixon High School.
William worked for Quaker Windows in Freeburg until October of 2000 and at then for Playmor Trailer in Westphalia for the past 22 years.
He was preceded in death by father, William, Sr. and brother Sam.
William is survived by mother, Anna Marie of Dixon; sisters, Glenda Mutrux of Glenwood, Iowa, Rhonda Shay of Grandview, Vicki Gertz of Dixon and Donna Yarbro.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 4, at the Freeburg City Park Pavilion.
Memorial contributions suggested to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
