Wilma May Stephen, 81, Dixon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at her residence.
She was born on July 26, 1941, to Leon and Samantha (Moore) Marbut at Monett.
She was united in marriage to Leroy Jake Stephen, Dec.19, 1959, at Joplin.
Wilma was a member of the Sheppard Baptist Church near Dixon. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Axillary Post 4238 and was on the board of the Maries Osage Ambulance for over 30 years. She worked as a social worker for the Missouri Ozark Community Agency for 37 years, retiring in 2009.
She was preceded in death by parents Leon and Samantha; husband Leroy; sons Robert, Roy and Jake; and sister Frances Zimmer.
Wilma is survived by son Willie Stephen and wife Carol; daughter Ginger Rollins and husband Michael; daughter-in-law Sandra Stephen; brother George (Ella) Marbut; sister Caroline Johnson; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with two expected in the very near future.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 7, from 5–7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9–10 a.m. with funeral services following at Sheppard Baptist Church, Dixon. Interment will be in the Sheppard Cemetery.
