Worley enjoys role with Linn Police Department

Sgt. Joshua Worley, 35, has been with the Linn Police Department since November of 2015 and said he really enjoys his role here.

“When I started my career with the city of Linn, I started to feel like I belonged here,” Worley said. “I enjoyed working for Chief (Richard) Bray and started learning a lot from him. After working here for a short time, I could not see myself leaving to work for a different agency. I have come to know a lot of the citizens of Linn and they have gotten to know me and my five kids.”

Following training in 2011 with the Missouri Sheriff's Association, Worley went to work for the Cole County Sheriff's Office and then worked for the city of New Franklin (2013-15) and the city of Camdenton (February 2015-October 2015), before joining the LPD.

Worley earned his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2015 from the University of Phoenix.

He holds himself to a high standard.

“The most important thing to me as an officer is to do everything in my authority to help the citizens I swore an oath to protect,” Worley said.
