Anyone remember the politically dynamic era of the 1960s? It was quite an era. Then Presidents Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon were in office and NASA successfully landed on the moon. Also, in that exciting time frame three youngsters in the “all-American” small town of Hannibal, Missouri went exploring in a cave. Tragically, they were never seen again. A massive seach took place that incredibly included help from the White House. Despite great efforts it yielded no returns. The mystery continues.
What the flashback multiple missing persons case needs is to be profiled a prominent television program to bring publicity to it or, for modern technology to be utilized to potentially deliver a resolution to the unsolved enigma. Hopefully someone may know something about the exploring adventure gone bad and they should come forward with any helpful insight.
In the meantime everyone should pause for a moment during today’s fast-paced internet and cellphone based lifestyle, reflect on the three still unaccounted for missing fellow Americans and Missourians, Craig Dowell and Joe and Billy Hoag. Hopefully, during their short lives as citizens of the U.S.A. they lived every day to the fullest!
