CHAMOIS — Two Chamois residents have been charged following the execution of a drug-related search warrant June 25 at a residence on Highway N in Osage County.

According to probable cause statements filed by a detective with the Mid Missouri Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, members of the task force and the Osage County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics-related search warrant at the residence on June 25.

Rusty Joseph Arlen, 35, and Jamie L. Luecke, 43, are each charged in separate cases with second-degree drug trafficking, a Class C felony, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D misdemeanor.

According to his probable cause statement, investigators located approximately 84 grams of suspected methamphetamine throughout the residence, along with drug paraphernalia. Court documents state investigators found approximately 36 grams and 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside a blue backpack in the living room, approximately 8 grams inside an orange container in the kitchen, and approximately 10 grams inside a plastic bag in the bathroom.

Investigators also reported recovering multiple glass smoking devices and $330 in cash.

According to court documents, Arlen told investigators after being advised of his Miranda rights that the blue backpack and orange container belonged to him and that anything found inside the residence belonged to him.

Luecke, according to her probable cause statement, denied ownership of anything found inside the residence after being advised of her rights. Investigators reported finding approximately 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine in plain view, including an orange container in the kitchen and a plastic bag in the bathroom near a cellphone identified as belonging to Luecke.

The complaints filed by Osage County Prosecuting Attorney Amanda Grellner allege both defendants acted in concert with another to knowingly possess more than 30 grams of methamphetamine.

Arlen is being held without bond. A bond review hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. June 30 before Associate Circuit Judge Sonya Day Brandt.

Luecke was issued a $25,000 surety bond and released the evening of June 27. No court date has been set for her as of the time of this writing.

Arlen also has a pending Osage County criminal case filed in December 2023 in which he is charged with second-degree drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting arrest.

Luecke also has a pending Osage County criminal case filed in February in which she is charged with one count of manufacturing a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
