I would like to take a moment to share something with the people of Maries County.
After 21 years of working in law enforcement, I have decided to officially announce my candidacy for Maries County sheriff.
I have always believed that serving in law enforcement means being there for people—listening to them, treating them with respect, and doing what is right, regardless of personal feelings, even when it is not always the easy thing to do.
I have never believed that a law enforcement position is something to be abused or taken lightly. I believe in treating people fairly, without judgment or favoritism, while still doing my job and upholding the law.
I have also always believed that the people we serve should have a voice. I want to hear what the people of Maries County think, what you need, and what you want from your sheriff’s office. Your concerns and opinions matter.
I have been proud and blessed to serve the people of Belle as your elected city marshal. It is an honor and a responsibility that I take seriously. Belle is, and always will be, a community I intend to serve.
After 21 years in law enforcement, I believe I have more to offer and would like the opportunity to use the experience I have gained over the years to serve the people throughout Maries County.
For me, this is not about a title. It is about the people of Maries County and the communities I want to serve. The more people I can help, the better.
My name is Jerry Coborn, and I am officially announcing my candidacy for Maries County Sheriff.
