Fatima’s soccer team celebrated Senior Night last Tuesday with a 4-2 victory over visiting Calvary Lutheran, giving four seniors and three senior managers a memorable home-field sendoff.

Patrick Berhorst scored twice for the Comets, while Henry Storm and Will Borgmeyer added one goal apiece. David Sesti and Troy Neuner each recorded an assist.

“Senior Night was a special night for our program, and earning a big win made it even more memorable,” Fatima coach Kelley-Marie Wibberg said. “I’m proud of the way our guys competed, stayed focused, and came together as a team. We wanted to send our seniors out on a high note, and I’m glad we were able to do that.”

Fatima split goalkeeping duties between two players. Senior Paden Luebbert played the first half and made three saves, while Carson Heimericks took over after halftime and recorded nine saves.

At halftime, the program recognized seniors Troy Neuner, Trace Walters, Paden Luebbert, and Cooper Berhorst, along with senior managers Caroline Neubert, Lilly Borgmeyer, and Ben Stephens.

“All four of these seniors have contributed so much to our program, both on and off the field,” Wibberg said. “It has been a privilege to coach them and watch them grow as players and young men.”

The victory provided a fitting occasion to recognize a group whose contributions have extended beyond game statistics.

“We wish each of them nothing but the best in whatever comes next, and they will always be part of our soccer family,” Wibberg said.
