Linn Area Craft, Vendor Show to return to Linn R-2 this fall

LINN — One of the area’s longest-running community traditions is returning home this fall as the Linn Area Craft and Vendor Show will return to Linn R-2 on Oct. 25 after the event was held last year at St. George. The Linn FFA Boosters and LHS Art Club are stepping forward as the event’s new sponsors.

“The return to the high school marks another chapter in a tradition that has become an important annual event for vendors and area residents,” said organizer Judy Hicks.

The show, which has been a staple of the community for nearly four decades, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is expected to once again draw crafters, vendors, and shoppers from throughout the region.

Last year’s show was relocated to St. George after scheduling conflicts made it difficult to maintain the traditional fourth Sunday in October date that vendors and shoppers had come to expect. Rather than moving the event to another weekend, organizers sought an alternative location that would allow the show to continue uninterrupted.

That search led to St. George Parish, where the St. George Home and School Association stepped in to sponsor the event and provide a temporary home. Hicks credited parish leaders, volunteers, and community organizations for helping preserve the show and keep the tradition alive.

The 2025 event proved successful despite the change in venue, drawing strong community support and reinforcing the importance of the show to local vendors and shoppers.

“That was evidence that the community wanted to see the tradition continue,” said Hicks.

Now, the event is set to return to Linn R-2 with new sponsorship from the Linn FFA Boosters and Art Club.

Hicks expressed her appreciation to St. George Home and School for helping keep the event alive during the transition and thanked the many volunteers, organizations, and community members who supported the show’s temporary move. “I also want to thank the Linn FFA Boosters and Art Club for helping bring the event back to Linn R-2,” said Hicks.

The Linn Area Craft and Vendor Show has grown into one of the region’s premier fall shopping events, featuring handcrafted items, home décor, food products, seasonal goods, gifts, and specialty vendors.

Hicks said she looks forward to welcoming shoppers to Linn R-2 on Oct. 25 for another year of crafts, vendors, food, and community fellowship.

Anyone with questions about the event is encouraged to contact Hicks.
