LINN — Linn R-2 board members in closed session at their Feb. 19 meeting made several personnel decisions, including the hiring of Garrett Haslag as the MS/HS Principal in a two-year contract. He is currently the principal at Belle.
The board also approved a two-year contract extension for Elementary Principal Cammie Otto, and one-year extensions for Elementary Assistant/Special Education Director Principal Amy Kemna, and Assistant Principal Billy Cobb.
A letter of intent to hire Facilities Director Cliff Wilson and Food Service Director Kelley Crouse for next year at no less than their current salary was approved. The board also approved an extended contract for Technology Information Coordinator Eric Morfeld at no less than his current salary.
Board members also approved hiring Melissa Stephens as a Secondary Special Ed teacher, Jolene Atchley as the elementary secretary, Mekayla Gibson as a substitute teacher, and John Viehland as the elementary PE teacher. Viehland resigned from his role as the HS business teacher.
Other resignations approved by the board were from MS Science teacher Erica Ashley and elementary kindergarten teacher Amy Holtschneider.
The board hired coaches Kobe Kaminski (football assistant) and Robyn Baker (track and field assistant).
