Marla S. Lane, 64, Loose Creek, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 18, 1958, to John and Agnes (Wieberg) Brenneke in Jefferson City.
She was a 1977 graduate of Jefferson City High School.
Marla was united in marriage to Mark Lane March 30, 1985, in Wardsville.
She was employed at Missouri Department of Social Services for 35 years, retiring in 2014.
Marla was preceded in death by father, John; and nephews, Johnathon Brenneke and Christopher Lane.
She is survived by husband, Mark; mother, Agnes; brother, Michael Brenneke of Jefferson City; sisters, Michelle Kliethermes and husband Curt of Linn and Linda Wyss and husband Bryan of Vienna; and brother-in-law, Donald Lane Jr. and wife Gloria of Jefferson City.
The funeral service was held May 22, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Deacon Robert Schowengerdt officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
