LINN — Osage County native Kay (Swyers) Murphy’s art show, “Wondrous World,” will be displayed in the Woodland Art Gallery at the Osage County Library from Jan. 7 through March 28.
Murphy noted her lifelong passion for art began in childhood, supported by her parents’ constant encouragement. After graduating from the University of Missouri, she began working as a Pharmacy Technician in Linn while continuing to pursue her love of painting.
“Inspired by my family, my faith, and my deep connection to the outdoors, I create artwork that celebrates the beauty of God’s creation,” said Murphy. “Whether I’m spending time on our family farm, deer hunting, or remembering days fishing with my grandfather, nature remains at the heart of my creativity. Through my work, I hope to share the wonder and beauty of the world that inspires me every day.”
A reception will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with light refreshments to be served.
