OSAGE COUNTY — The Osage County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Friday that it is investigating an incident featured in a video circulating on social media.

According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, one individual is being held on an investigative hold, and a probable cause statement has been submitted to the Osage County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of formal charges.

The video, posted by Predator Poachers, shows the arrest of a man accused of purchasing child pornography. During the video, the narrator says an Osage County deputy took the group’s concerns seriously and conducted an investigation that led to the arrest.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains active and ongoing and that no additional information will be released at this time.

“The Osage County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to conducting a thorough and impartial investigation and will provide additional information when appropriate and consistent with the integrity of the case,” Sheriff Michael Bonham said.
