Linn golfers put together an impressive showing at the Russellville Invitational last Wednesday at Redfield in Eugene, as several players turned in career-best performances.

“What makes this performance special isn’t just the numbers—it’s the progress,” said Coach John Viehland. “Every golfer on the course walked away with a new personal best, a rare and meaningful accomplishment that speaks volumes about the team’s work ethic, resilience, and commitment to getting better each day.”

Colton Leivian led the team with a 92, his lowest score to date, which Viehland said showcases his growth, focus, and ability to compete under pressure. Jake Bish followed with a standout round of 95, also marking a personal best and continuing to establish himself as a key contributor for the Wildcats.

Jason Greer carded a career-best 111, while Bentley Hertzing added a personal record of 121, and Cameron Hoelscher rounded out the day with a 128, his best performance yet, reflecting the steady improvement seen across the entire team.

“Redfield challenges both skill and mental toughness, and the Linn golfers rose to that challenge,” Viehland said. “As the season continues, this group is gaining confidence, experience, and momentum—proving that their best golf is still ahead of them.”
