OSAGE COUNTY — Sheriff Mike Bonham said his office continues to investigate recent theft incidents that occurred at Linn R-2 and Classic Buildings.
During the course of the investigation, detectives developed leads that connected this incident to a burglary at Classic Buildings.
Bonham noted that an Indiana man is being sought after video surveillance footage led to his identification.
Additional information will be presented after charges are filed.
Sheriff Bonham reminded residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. Vehicle and property thefts often occur during nighttime or early morning hours. Citizens are urged to remove valuables from vehicles and lock all doors, park in well-lit areas when possible, and report any unfamiliar individuals or vehicles lingering around schools, businesses, or neighborhoods.
“Community awareness and timely reporting play a vital role in helping law enforcement prevent and solve crimes,” said Bonham. “Working together, we can keep Osage County safe.”
