FREEDOM — Two individuals face multiple drug-related charges following the execution of a narcotics search warrant by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the Osage County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 17.
Authorities executed the warrant at a residence along Rt. N in the Freedom area, where William R. Davis was located inside the home and taken into custody without incident.
According to court records, Davis told investigators during a post-Miranda interview that methamphetamine and related paraphernalia were in the bathroom. A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia from several locations.
Investigators reported finding approximately 1.65 grams of a white crystalline substance on a plate, two homemade smoking devices containing suspected methamphetamine, an additional bag containing about 0.49 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and two cut tubes with residue in the bathroom. Deputies also located a mirror containing approximately 0.72 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside a wooden compartment in the kitchen. All substances tested positive for methamphetamine using a field test kit, according to the probable cause statement.
Davis was arrested and transported to the Osage County Jail. He is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
As part of the same investigation, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Jamie L. Luecke shortly before the warrant was executed. A K-9 unit alerted to the presence of controlled substances, and Luecke admitted she had psilocybin mushrooms in her purse, according to court documents.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 0.9 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, about 1.75 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a container holding roughly 11 grams of a liquid substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia containing residue.
During a subsequent interview at the Osage County Detention Center, Luecke told investigators the liquid substance was “bong water” from smoking methamphetamine and admitted attempting to convert it back into crystal form by heating it, according to the probable cause statement.
Luecke is charged with felony manufacture of a controlled substance and two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance.
Davis and Luecke were released on Feb. 18 and are scheduled to appear for court at 10 a.m. March 17 in Osage County Circuit Court before Judge Sonya Day Brandt.
