So, Trump calls in the military to strike Venezuela and extract Maduro in order to indict him for Drug Trafficking. It is the same rationale given for using the military for the extrajudicial bombing of boats out in the Caribbean, killing all of the occupants and obliterating the “evidence” before there is any chance for verification, let alone providing the opportunity for judicial review.

It has also been his rationale to his base since the beginning: “America has a drug problem (fentanyl being the primary culprit) and Venezuela is the source.

The problem is that fentanyl is not coming to the US from Venezuela neither is Venezuela the actual source for cocaine coming to this country. That would be Colombia.

So what case does the Trump administration have against Maduro. The drug charge, and the weapons charge for that matter, is pretty weak. Granted, Maduro is a ruthless dictator who stole an election… but that is not Trump’s public rationale for seizing and indicting him. And he has said nothing about bringing Machado, who actually won the last Venezuelan election back.

Maybe, that is because accusing Maduro of that would, in effect, incriminate Trump himself.

So, is Trump’s purpose for seizing Maduro because of his alleged relationship with trafficking drugs into the U.S.?

Trump’s recent release of the Honduran dictator, who was convicted and serving time for heading up a drug trafficking organization that was sending 400 tons of narcotics to the United States makes that claim seem fairly hypocritical. Was it because Maduro is a dictator and Trump is a champion of democracy? Again, think of the

Honduran dictator as well as Trump’s partnership with “the world’s coolest dictator” in El Salvador, you know… the guy running the CECOT prison where Trump sent all of those Venezuelans,

So… it must be something else. Maybe, its’s his Trumpian interpretation of the Monroe Doctrine, where the world is divided up into spheres of influence: the U.S. gets the Americas (which includes Greenland), Russia gets

Europe and parts of Central Asia, and China get the rest.

Or… is it really, as Steven Miller has already implied all about seizing another country’s resources and in this case, it is all about oil. By the way, Miller’s wife has already posted an image of Greenland with an American flag superimposed on it with the caption: “Soon”. Then, there is always the Epstein Files. Can you say “Wag the Dog”?
