Antisemitism finds a home

The Palestinian Islamist terrorist group Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel on Saturday, Oct. 7, where they executed, raped, tortured, beheaded, burned alive and kidnapped over a thousand innocent people. No one in their path of destruction was shown mercy, including children and the elderly.

The death toll of innocents, as of Oct. 14, includes foreigners from more than 20 other countries — many with dual citizenship — including 29 Americans.

At least 40 babies were killed, some beheaded. This is pure evil committed by terrorists from Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now vows to ‘exterminate’ Hamas.

Since these horrors occurred, support for Hamas has sprung up across the United States on college campuses, newspaper columns and on social media by college professors.

Washington Post opinion columnist Karen Attiah said Friday on X (formerly known as Twitter), “We cannot stand by and watch Israel commit atrocities.” Not only did Attiah fail to condemn Hamas for their attacks against civilians, but she also spread falsehoods about Israel.

Repeating Israel’s past, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) alerted Northern Gazans of coming attacks by social media and air-dropped fliers. Their goal is to eliminate Hamas, not all Palestinians.

If you are unaware, the Washington Post is a left-leaning publication.

Praising Hamas for their attack on Oct. 7 was another far-left organization, the Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter (BLM). In a social media statement, the BLM chapter said, “We stand with Palestine & the people who will do what they must to live free. Our hearts are with the grieving mothers, those rescuing babies from rubble, who are in danger of being wiped out completely.”

In a 2015 video, BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, who has referred to herself as a “trained Marxist,” is seen calling for the end of Israel.

One day after the attack — being called Israel’s 911 — hundreds of protesters in New York City demonstrated in support of the Hamas terrorist attack. The protest was organized by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which includes six members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The DSA blames Israel for the attack, tweeting, “Today’s events are a direct result of Israel’s apartheid regime.” At the rally, DSA demonstrations burned an Israeli flag while showing an image of a swastika to Israeli supporters.

A left-wing organization that labels “hate groups” across the country, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has, as of now, refused to comment on whether BLM and DSA actions against Israel are hateful.

While most Democrat leaders have remained silent concerning these left-wing groups, there are those like New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg. Hochul condemned the rally in New York City. Golberg — a Jew — in her column recently slammed the left for “justifying Hamas’s atrocities.”

Protest against Israel by students, with support from their left-wing professors, made the news last week. A professor from Columbia University in New York City, Joseph Massad, published an article that supporting Hama’s attack as “astounding.”

Student protesters have shown their ignorance by claiming the atrocities are only Israeli propaganda.

The Harvard Palestine Solidarity Groups wrote, “We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.” These are future leaders of the Democrat party.

Antisemitism under the Democrat banner is not new. Spewing hate towards Jews for years has come from Democrat groups like the Women’s March organizers, Antifa and individuals Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan. Anti-Semites Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory were featured speakers at the 2020 Democratic convention. Anti-Semites Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, in 2020, were both endorsed by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Antisemitism has found a home in the Democrat Party as part of BLM, DSA and left-wing college campuses across America. The question is, will the Democrat Party kick them out? I doubt it.

Netanyahu says is best: “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more ‎violence. If the Jews put ‎down their weapons ‎today, there would be no ‎more Israel.”
