Bonnie Jean Stiesmeyer, 93, Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles and Amanda (Schreimann) Herndon in Linn.
She was a graduate of Linn High School.
Bonnie was united in marriage to William Frederick “Bill” Stiesmeyer July 26, 1956, in Hernando, Miss.He preceded her in death April 17, 2012.
She worked as a loan clerk for the Farmers Home Administration/USDA until retirement. Thereafter she worked for Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ as a secretary until 2022. She very much enjoyed working with Cary and Brent.
Bonnie was a member of Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ and she loved her church family, especially the ladies’ class on Tuesdays.
She liked to paint, exercise at the Healthplex twice a week with Macey, her personal trainer, cook, spend time with her daughters, traveling with her husband, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Bonnie especially loved her dog, Molly as well as her dear neighbor friends Fred and Brenda. She looked forward to Brenda’s visits and all of the homemade food and desserts that she brought along with her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by husband, William; parents, Charles and Amanda; brothers, Clarence, Clifford, Bill and Charles Herndon; and sister, Clara Schnieder.
She is survived by daughters, Sara Boes and husband Donald and Rachel Duncan, all of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Daniel Boes and wife Ashley, James Duncan and wife Carly and Emily Bunton and husband Ross.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, followed by funeral services at Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ with Minister Brent Newton officiating. Interment will be in the Linn Public Cemetery in Linn.
Memorial contributions suggested to Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ or to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
