Bright Idea Gaming was overwhelmed with support from the community and reported more than 125 people attended its Sept. 25 grand opening.
The business had reported a successful soft opening earlier in the month and was expecting a good turnout for the grand opening but had no idea how much Bright Idea Gaming’s presence meant to fans of games in the area.
“I am so excited to be on this adventure with the support of this community,” owner Josh Menke said. “Thank you to everyone who was able to come and show their support and we can’t wait for more fun days in the future.”
Menke provided beverages and snacks during the event while also handing out special Collectable Card Game (CCG) packs of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! to attendees. Sweet Bee’s Shaved Ice, a neighboring business owned by Christina Laughlin, had gaming and geek-themed shaved ice available in support of the new business.
