WESTPHALIA — A two-vehicle crash at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday involving a school bus and a 2001 International 5600I resulted in minor injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the International tractor, driven by Justin R. Oligschlaeger, 40, of Linn, was stopped to make a left turn from Hwy. 63 onto Rt. E when he was struck in the rear by a 2011 Bluebird bus driven by Hannah J. Tracy, 27, of Linn.
Oligschlaeger’s vehicle then crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Tracy was transported by Maries Osage Ambulance District to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with minor injuries.
Fatima Superintendent Chuck Woody said there were no students on the bus. There was a small delay picking up students on that route, but information was sent to parents immediately upon the school receiving word of the accident with the plan to pick them up.
