Carl Eugene Steiner, 80, Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at The Timbers Assisted Living in Holts Summit.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1945, to the late James E. and Cecilia G. (Jacquin) Steiner in Gasconade.
He was united in marriage to Sharon M. (Nolte) Steiner on Sept. 9, 1978, at Assumption Church in Morrison.
Carl served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by wife, Sharon; parents, James and Cecilia; step-son, Randy Nolte; brothers, Harold and James Steiner; and sister-in-law, Nina Steiner.
Carl is survived by daughter-in-law, Tina Nolte of Morrison; three grandsons; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo Steiner of Warrenton, Cecil Steiner and wife Rosemarie of Hermann, Fred Steiner and wife Betty of Killeen, Texas and John Steiner and wife Kim of Gasconade; and sisters-in-law, Karen Steiner of Warrenton, Mary Ann Steiner of Hermann and Jeanette Birk and husband Brad of Morrison.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Thursday, March 26, followed by a funeral Mass at Assumption Church in Morrison, with Father David Means officiating. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to Assumption Church or St. Peter Catholic Church.
