Carol Jean Branson, 67, Linn, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
She was born Dec. 21,1957, a daughter to William and Geraldine (Kiso) Branson in Jefferson City.
She was a 1976 graduate of Linn High School and a graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.
Carol Jean was employed with the Missouri Department of Revenue until her retirement.
She was a member of Oklahoma Church of Christ.
Carol Jean enjoyed reading, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs and just spending time with her family and church family.
She was preceded in death by father,William.
Carol is survived by mother, Geraldine; brother,Vernon Branson and wife Carol of Linn; nephews, Lucas Branson and wife Amy of Jefferson City, Mitch Branson and wife Sophie of Linn and Cory Waggoner and wife Michelle of Grandview, Texas; great nieces and nephews, Wendy, Will and Mason Branson, Lexi Jett and Wyatt Waggoner; and many family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m.,Thursday, Oct. 23, followed by the funeral service at the Oklahoma Church of Christ with Rev. Mark Gregor and Gary Ruff officiating. Interment will be held in the Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to the Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery Fund or to the Allen Waterman Animal Assistance Fund at Osage Regional Vet Clinic in Linn.
