Chamois’ high school track and field team competed at the Hermann Invitational on April 23, with Brayden Cotton’s pair of medal-winning performances leading the Pirates, as he placed second in the shot put with a throw of 43-5, and added a fourth-place finish in the discus (114-6), earning medals in both events.
Coach John Leach said the Hermann meet is typically a challenging event for Chamois, noting that the team “does not get a medal” most years, but saw success this time.
