Douglas R. Carlin, 78, Jefferson City, formerly of Linn, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Capitol River Wellness and Rehabilitation in Jefferson City.
He was born March 16, 1947, to the late Douglas Peter and Stella Carlin in St. Louis.
He was a graduate of the Institute of American Indians Arts in Santa Fe, N.M.
Doug was united in marriage to Karen (Wolfe) Carlin Nov. 1, 1991, in Linn.
He was employed at Chesebrough Ponds in Jefferson City and later Linn Auto Parts store in Linn.
Doug was preceded in death by parents, Douglas and Stella.
He is survived by wife, Karen; children, Douglas Carlin of St. Louis and Michelle Carlin of Holts Summit; stepsons, Nick Nilges and Tim Hamburg, both of Linn; and sister, Joannie.
Graveside service and interment with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m., (today) Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Solid Rock Cemetery in Judge with Deacon Bob Schowengerdt officiating.
