Fatima’s junior high wrestlers continue to show improvement in competitions ranging from tournaments to duals.
“We are incredibly proud of how our junior high wrestlers performed at last week’s duals,” said coaches Cody Strope and Skyla Schroeder. “Every wrestler has shown great improvement since the beginning of the season, and won a few matches in the process. They have a few more tournaments to go to, and we’re excited to see how they perform the rest of the season.”
At the Lewis & Clark match on Nov. 20, Violet Backes went 3-0 to lead the team. She won by fall, claimed another victory 14-11, and won by medical forfeit.
Going 2-0 on the day were Azlyn Boessen (win by fall twice), Bowen Willis (9-6 win, win by fall), and Clayton Reinsch and Elladi Kloeppel (win by fall in each match).
Payton Davis finished 2-1, winning both matches by fall.
Rounding out the team were Dakota Boldwin (0-2) and Brooklyn Cybulski (0-3).
