Fatima’s boys’ soccer team is preparing to host the Class 1, District 4 tournament, with the second-seed Comets to play at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 against the winner of the Calvary Lutheran-Belle matchup.
“As we wrap up another exciting regular season, I couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, growth, and determination our players have shown,” said Coach Kelley-Marie Wibberg. “Every practice, every game, and every challenge has brought us closer together as a team, and now we’re thrilled to carry that energy into the postseason.”
She added that Fatima’s success this year wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support received from families, friends, and fans. “Your cheers, encouragement, and sportsmanship on the sidelines mean more than you know,” Wibberg said. “You help create the positive environment that makes our program so special. As we head into postseason play, we’re ready to compete with heart, play with pride, and represent our community with class. Thank you for standing behind us all season long —let’s keep that spirit going!”
In recent games, Fatima lost to Osage, 4-1 in the varsity game and 3-1 in the JV contest on Thursday.
Earlier in the week, the Comets fell to Jefferson City, 2-1.
