Lyle R. Haslag, 36, and Theresa J. Miloro, 27, who share a residence on CR 403 near Loose Creek, were taken into custody last Tuesday, March 3, following the execution of a search warrant by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Haslag has been charged with felony unlawful possession of a firearm and Miloro was charged with three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance.

A probable cause statement filed by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force notes that Haslag, a convicted felon, admitted to having a Ruger 10-22, .22 caliber rifle in a gun safe in the residence.

While searching a room believed to be used by the defendant due to all the men’s clothing and copy of the defendant’s Missouri driver’s license, a set of digital scales, a modified straw, and a glass bong with a colored liquid and stem with white powder in it were located on a stand.

A field test showed a positive result for methamphetamine, and liquid extracted from the bong, which also field-tested positive for methamphetamine, had a preliminary weight of more than 90 grams.

Haslag has prior felony convictions ranging from burglary and theft to possession of controlled substances.

Also during the search, officers located on a dresser in the east bedroom a glass pipe containing a white powder, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. On the dresser were a bra and two women’s shirts.

Miloro confirmed to officers that she keeps her clothing in the east bedroom, admitting the clothes found belong to her. When asked if she uses methamphetamine, Miloro said she does, but her drug of choice is heroin. She denied ownership of the pipe seized by officers.

Miloro was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substances and transported to the Osage County Jail. While the defendant was changing to an inmate uniform, Officer Tarr observed a clear bag in one of the three bras the defendant was wearing.

Inside the bag were three individual bags. One contained a small capsule and a half a capsule, with a small amount of powder in it that field-tested positive for heroin. One had an unknown blue powder, which the defendant later said was crushed Xanax; and the third bag contained a small amount of a crystalline powder, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Miloro was booked and released, and Haslag is being held pending a bond hearing scheduled for Tuesday, March 17.
