Hasenbeck American Legion Post #317 of Freeburg on Friday night presented the colors prior to the start of the Independence Day Celebration at Lions Field.Families participate in a game of bag-toss as part of Sunday’s Fourth of July celebration at Meta. Max Muenks of the Marine Corps, along with Harry Struemph raised the flag while the National Anthem was played at Friday’s celebration in Freeburg. Parents and children made use of Meta’s playground at the city park before the start of the Fourth of July celebration on Sunday.
