Is this the beginning of the end?

Posted

Or the end of the beginning?  I won’t try to determine that, but I will say that events have moved from a glacial pace to very fast.  After a very slow start in getting to the bottom of the 2020 election and the J06 attempted coup, it does appear that vital trials will occur before the 2024 election, giving the American people a much better idea of who they are voting for.  Criminal defendant Trump is probably the least vetted candidate in American history, in 2015.  Sadly, the Republican party will hold its primary elections before all the information is available to the Republican voters, very unfortunate and unfair to them and the entire country.

Jack Smith is coming on at top speed, and Ex-President Trump is quite frankly frightened.  He has been able to lie and bully his way out of trouble all of his life, Things have changed.  Witnesses are realizing the perils of having a Trump paid lawyer represent them, and rejecting such to get lawyers to represent them, not Ex-President Trump.  Witnesses are flipping faster than a skillet of pancakes, and if you are going to flip, it is best to be first in line.  The value of your testimony goes down very fast.

Having won the 2016 election in a rigged election with the assistance of Vladmir Putin, Ex-President Trump thought the he could do the same in 2020.  For further insurance, Ex-President Trump had appointed three judges for a rigged Supreme Court, which he thought would guarantee him a victory in 2020.

Judge Aileen Cannon seems to continue to show her inexperience in the Mar-A-Lago stolen documents case.  She has been smacked down more than once by the conservative 11th District Court of Appeals.  How that plays out is yet to be determined.  I have to wonder where is the self-described Republican party of national security?

Fani Willis in GA has shown herself to be a no nonsense and experienced District Attorney as is Judge Tanya Chutkan investigating the Jo6 attempted coup. Neither of them are playing around.  Both of them are interested in getting to the truth and the administration of justice in a timely manner.  They refuse to be bullied with personal threats.

John McCain has a slogan in 2008, “Country First.”  It is well overdue for all of us to put Country over Party.  This is not about Democrat vs. Republican.  Is is about democracy vs. fascism, the truth vs. lies, the rule of law vs rule by law.  The stakes are much higher than they were during the Watergate scandal.

Sincerly,
