Dear Editor,
It is time that the Linn City Police Department familiarize themselves with existing city ordinances and enforce them.
Including enforcing speed limits on side streets (i.e. Jefferson Street which frequently is a race track, or else install speed bumps to slow drivers down.) With children being out of school for the summer, they often walk on these streets. Does it take someone to get badly hurt or killed before the city police department will do what they were hired for. Driving down Jefferson Street twice a day is not patrolling the street and keeping speeders down.
