Jerome Lee “Jerry” Weber, 71, Freeburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2025, on his Century farm surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 2, 1954, to the late John G. and Theola Elizabeth (Johannesmeyer) Weber in Jefferson City.
He was a 1972 graduate of Fatima High School.
Jerry was united in marriage to Donna Massman Oct. 20, 1979, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia.
He loved hunting, fishing, and raising stock gilts and genetics. Jerry started Osage Isowen Company in 1990 and with 27 producers raising pigs for over 20 plus years.
Jerry was well known for being the weather guy. He could cut and bale the hay before the rain; people would call him for weather advice.
Jerry bought the family farm in 1974 from his parents and started with only 10 gilts and no cattle. He built up the farm to what it is today, which supports two families. Jerry took great pride in raising quality hogs and cattle.
Some of his favorite things in life were, black cows on green grass, baling haying (really fast), the farm dogs he had throughout the years, super clean tractors, especially the windows, and eating fried chicken and fish.
Jerry was preceded in death by parents, John and Theola; brother, Paul Weber and wife Evelyn; and sister, Betty Weber.
He is survived by wife, Donna; children, Tyler Weber and wife Emily and Cody Weber and wife Tracy, all of Freeburg, Laine Morgan Benson and husband Terry of Westphalia and Kim Gale of Kansas City; grandchildren, Trenton, Trevor, Landon, Nate and Jace Weber, T.J. and Wyatt Benson and Ashlyn Gale; siblings, Elmer Weber and wife Viola of Jefferson City and Linda Falter and husband Danny of Freeburg.
