John Clinton McMinn, 95, Rolla, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Oak Point of Rolla.
He was born April 3, 1928, to the late Fred and Tina (Terwilliger) McMinn in Maries County.
He served his country in the U. S. Army.
Clinton was united in marriage to Dorothy Irene O’Haver Jan. 29, 1950, in Rolla.
He was employed as a meat cutter for 45 years and was co-owner of the Cowans IGA in Rolla.
Clinton was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy; parents, Fred and Tina; daughter, Janet Kay Thompson; siblings, Mary Blackwell, Allie Prewett, Lucy Spencer, Virgie Maxwell, Margie Davis and infant sister, Ruby McMinn.
He is survived by daughters, Patricia A. Harris and husband Dennis of Rolla and Linda Sue Hays and husband Shorty of Vienna; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; son-in-law, David Thompson of Carson City, Nev.; brother, Robert McMinn of Vichy; and sister, Nina Barks of Bakersfield, Calif.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service, Saturday, May 6, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Vienna with Pastor Chris Slocum officiating
Inurnment will be in the Ozark Hills Memorial Garden in Rolla at a later date.
Memorial contributions suggested to the restoration of the McMinn School House.
Arrangements entrusted to Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
