LINN — Three Rivers Electric Cooperative General Manager Roger Kloeppel was recently appointed as a district representative to the 2025-26 term of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) Executive Committee in Jefferson City.

AMEC is the service organization of the state’s 47 electric cooperatives, which serve more than 590,000 businesses and homes. As a member of the Executive Committee, he will have responsibility for reviewing the association’s annual work plan and budget, and monitoring its operating policies. The Executive Committee consists of 12 members and three officers.

Kloeppel was also appointed as a district representative to the Resolutions Committee of AMEC. As a member of the Resolutions Committee, he reviews proposed resolutions developed by the NRECA Resolutions Committee and develops a unified position on them to present to the AMEC Board of Directors. The committee also maintains a strong working relationship with NRECA board, staff committee members, as well as other national and state organizations, to ensure the NRECA resolutions process is working in the best interest of electric cooperative members.

In addition, Kloeppel was appointed as a district representative to AMEC’s Training and Development Committee. As a member, he will be responsible for activities relating to improving the professional and technical abilities of electric cooperative employees and directors. These activities include workshops and conferences developed by AMEC, programs offered through NRECA management services, conferences developed by electric cooperative employee groups and others. The objective is to keep electric cooperative employees and directors abreast of the latest safety procedures and managerial, professional and technical developments in the highly complex electric industry.
